About

Greetings!

MStephen Grad_0116_Ty name is Stephen Mulder. I am a wretched sinner saved by the amazing and, often times incomprehensibly, great grace of God. I am currently a university student (The King’s University), studying to receive a Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in music (I have a great love for the organ and enjoy bagpipes). I am also a confessing member of The Shelter: Reformed Presbyterian Church of Edmonton (RPCNA). Being a member of a presbyterian church means that I adhere to the Westminister Standards and due to my background in the Protestant Reformed Churches of America, I also adhere to the Three Forms of Unity: The Belgic Confession, The Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt.

This blog is essentially my place to post articles that I write and publish my thoughts on Scripture, church history, and dogmatics. I decided to name it after the Greek phrase for slaves of God (δουλοι θεου). We as Christians are called to be slaves of God and not slaves of the world. Indeed, Jesus Christ bought, purchased, and redeemed us by His precious blood. Thus, every thought, word, and deed should be directed to the glory and praise of our Lord and Saviour. He deserves our never ending praise. We were once the servants of sin,  but God has called and bought us out of darkness into His service, by His abundant grace. As the Apostle Paul says,

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.  Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. Romans 6:15 – 18

If you disagree with anything I write, if you think I am wrong, misrepresented a particular issue, have a question for me, or even have similar concerns that I do, I would like to hear from you. Feel free to send me an email at stephenmulder14@gmail.com.
